We have so many family members that live far away -- mostly in Canada. Some of my family haven't seen Bradleigh in two or three years and my one Aunt hasn't seen her since she was 3 at my Grandmother's funeral. I do try to mail (the one Aunt doesn't have email!) photos every so often and at Christmas package photos in something special they can display if they choose.
Last year's gift can be seen here.
This year, I took sheets of chipboard, punched all the frames out of them and used the remnants. Originally the sheet was 12"x12" and I cut it down to be 6"x12". I used Chocolate Chip Craft Ink to color the chipboard and then embossed it with clear embossing powder. Now.. some of you might ask, "Where dd the flecks come from?" I used my friend Jan's Embossing Powder that had been contaminated with White Embossing Powder -- it makes for a nice effect, don't you think?
I used Bella Sara paper in the frames that don't have a photo of Bradleigh in them. Bradleigh's name was printed on Cardstock Vellum and the verse "Dreams come in a size too big so we can grow into them. The large B was cut using The Big Shot and San Serif Die then accented with Felt Flowers and Rhinestone Brads.
I added a cardboard easel, purchased a Michael's, on the back so that it could be placed on a table. I hope they liked it -- the hardest part was narrowing down the photos I chose to use!
