Camp Cupcake!

To celebrate -- I've come up with an entire "Cupcake Themed" Stamp Camp/Birthday Party for me and you're invited!  I've been waiting all week to announce this -- and now that it's just after midnight and officially my birthday, I can!

During the Stamp Camp, you'll create a handful of birthday-inspired projects including a cupcake without calories and a number of birthday cards housed in an adorable box ready to send or give the entire ensemble as a coordinating gift for someone special.  I've been working on the projects for about 3 weeks now and really, really love 'em!

I had wanted to have all the details together today but with Bradleigh and I both being sick this week, I just couldn't pull it all together so please watch for a downloadable flyer in the next few days with everything you want to know.

On Time in 2009!

Believe me when I say, this has been a work in progress for weeks! 

Do you ever see something and just know what you're going to do with it?  I did the moment I saw the Calendar Kit in the Holiday Mini Catalog.  It took The Block Guy that long to make me my stands -- with thanks to my friend Laura at a recent crop for helping the idea all come together! (Hi, Laura!)

 

This fun calendar is a Magnetic Message Center!  All the pieces are re-usable from month to month!  How cool is that?!

Stamps:  Only Ovals

Ink:  Riding Hood Red and Kiwi Kiss Classic Inks

Paper: Bella Rose Designer Series Paper,  Kiwi Kiss, Riding Hood Red, Whisper White and Vellum Cardstocks

Accessories:  Riding Hood Red Tafetta Ribbon, Large Oval Punch, Blender Pen, Paper Cutter with Scoring Blade and Gold Brads.

This card was created by first scoring the vellum.  Then the Riding Hood Red was placed underneath the vellum sized to fit the outer rectangle created by the scoring marks.  The Bella Rose DSP was cut to the smallest rectangle and placed on top.  I thought it made for a rather neat effect.  The image from Only Ovals was colored using a technique shown at convention.  The stamp was first inked up with Kiwi Kiss then a Blender Pen was used to remove the Kiwi Kiss ink off the rose part of the stamp.  The other end of the Blender Pen was dipped into Riding Hood Red Reinker to create a psuedo Riding Hood Red Marker and then I colored the rose.  The "Thanks" was stamped with Riding Hood Red and cut out and layered.  Just a little bit of work.  :)

Sneek Peek!

  First round of October's club was tonight.  My favorite thing about my clubs, are not things -- they're the people.  Something magical happens when you can sit around a table with people who were once strangers and quickly become friends.  I love being able to visit with these amazing women -- each one of them.  I only hope they are inspired by me as much as I'm inspired and grateful for each one of them.

Christmas Cards: Get 'em Done!

Every year I attempt to get ahead of myself and get the Christmas Cards done... and, every year, I don't quite meet my own expectations.  Apparently, that's a common problem with those of us that venture down the path to create our own hand-crafted cards.

I created this class to help get "A Jump On Your Jingle!"

 

You'll create 15 cards (3 each of 5 designs) and the optional card holder shown above.  If you're outside of the Central, PA and Harrisburg, PA areas or cannot make the scheduled times  (October 23, 26th and 27th) you can email me for details about a kit in the mail.

Carousel Notes Bowl

I put together a fun class with the Carousel Notes -- many of the projects were inspired by the gazillions of fabulous stampers out there... but this project was all me.  (I love it when that happens -- and embrace it when it does because it doesn't happen often enough!)

I think these would make fabulous wedding favors. I'll be adding some candy and 3x3 notes to one, wrapping it in cellophane and giving it to Bradleigh's teacher as a gift.  I think I'll use the Soft Sky one to hold business cards in the Grotto!

There are just many possibilities -- enjoy!
