Wedding Party, Part Trois

 This is the last sample of the Specialty Paper Bride, Groom and Bridesmaid -- and it's my personal favorite.  In fact, I do believe this might very well be the Kemp Family Christmas Card this year -- as well as a Club Card for September.  I love the simplicity and elegance of it.

 

The ornament is made using the Ornament Punch and Delightful Decorations stamp set from the upcoming Holiday Mini Catalog.  The "Joy Ornament" was embossed on Real Red cardstock with clear embossing powder and then a white gel pen was used to fill in the swirls and the word "joy."   The ribbon is from the Mistletoe Ribbon Originals collection -- also from the upcoming Holiday Mini.  Of course, this card also features both the Bride Specialty Paper and the Groom Specialty Paper.  Don't you just love it?!

The Family Christmas Card

I finally got them out -- Christmas Cards that is.  (Unfortunately, I ran out and some of my dear friends will be receiving New Year's Cards!) 

Here was this year's card:

 

The background is Real Red cardstock, lovingly sponged with Chocolate Chip to distress it.  Then Baja Breeze cardstock stamped with the Baja Breeze and the Baroque background and the edges sponged  with more Chocolate Chip Classic Ink.  I stamped Old Olive Cardstock with Chocolate Chip ink and the Tres Chic background stamp.  Then I tied a piece of 5/8" Chocolate Grosgrain Ribbon around the card.  I cut out a large star with the Big Shot and used the 2-Way Glue Pen to cover it with Dazzling Diamonds Glitter and attached it with Stampin' Dimensionals.  Lasltly, I stamped the manger scene from Season of Simple Grace in Chocolate Chip and colored in select areas with the white gel pen.  I also stamped the verse from Luke 2:11 in the top left hand corner in Old Olive and sponged the edges (of course!) with more Chocolate Chip and mounted that with more Stampin' Dimensionals.  Inside, I stamped the other verse to the set "May the season be touched with the simple grace of Christ's love.  Merry Christmas!" and the star in Real Red.

I used every single image in this set!  These truly were a labor of love for me and much more involved than my usual Christmas Card but I came up with one and I loved it so much, I had to share with others.  :)  I hope they are liked and I don't even want to think for a moment if someone would *gasp  throw one away.

but barely.  :) 

I can't believe it's been 2 weeks.  I've wanted to post -- just ran out of time.  I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgivng -- we did, thanks to some new friends -- Laura, Shane and family. 

In the past two weeks we've painted a room in the house, suffered severe colds, participated in a HUGE and very fun crop and decorated the house for Christmas.  (Okay, still working on that last one -- 24 boxes of "stuff" from the attic, 9 Christmas Trees, 6 garlands and much more.)

I'll be back with some of the projects I've been working on -- although, truthfully, I have not stamped in 2 weeks -- there has just been no time.

Another Simple Big Shot Card

Looking to maximize your Designer Series Paper?

Check out this card -- simple 1/2" strips provide a splash of color and the Big Shot Top Note adds that extra flare.  The Curly Label Punch mimics the Top Note's shape, a simple knot of tafetta ribbon for texture and voila -- the end results, an economical, simple and pretty cute card in a matter of minutes.  Minimal supplies and time but, in my opinion, maximum results.
